NASA Shared a Video of the Ingenuity Helicopter's Longest Flight on Mars
On April 8, 2022, Ingenuity made its record 25th flight, traveling 704 meters at a maximum speed of 5.5 meters per second in 161.3 seconds. The video of the 161.3-second flight was sped up about five times, reducing its length to less than 35 seconds.
NASA shared a video of its Martian helicopter Ingenuity's longest and fastest flight on the Red Planet to date, which was recorded by the spacecraft's navigation camera. The recording was not published until May 27.

The video clip begins about a second into Ingenuity's flight. After reaching an altitude of 10 meters, the Martian helicopter heads southwest, accelerating to its maximum speed in less than three seconds. Ingenuity first flies over a group of sand ripples and then over several rocky fields. Finally, a relatively flat terrain appears below, providing a good place for the spacecraft to land.
