ISRO Unveils Roadmap for ESTIC 2025: Paving the Way for Innovation

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) hosted an inspiring Curtain Raiser event for the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC 2025) in Bengaluru, capturing the essence of innovation and future aspirations. This noteworthy gathering foresees significant strides toward space technology advancements and innovative synergies.

Gathering of Minds

ESTIC, an initiative spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), aims to create a collaborative environment for innovators, researchers, policymakers, and leaders from various sectors. It intends to fortify India’s innovation ecosystem. The concourse is scheduled from November 3 to November 5 in New Delhi, featuring 11 thematic sessions that foster technological collaboration for a “Viksit Bharat @2047.”

During the curtain raiser, ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan underscored the conclave’s pivotal role in cultivating an innovative culture. This, he noted, aligns with ISRO’s commitment to groundbreaking research, capacity enhancement, and fruitful partnerships conducive to national development in the arena of space and concurrent technologies.

Pioneering Vision

Marked by vision and foresight, the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre Director A. Rajarajan, who is also the chairman of the ESTIC’s Space Technologies Thematic Committee, articulated the conclave’s ambition to spotlight India’s space successes, proposed missions, and the roadmap to Viksit Bharat 2047. He placed special emphasis on advancing young talents, women entrepreneurs, and academico-industrial alliances.

Strategic Intersections

Supported by 13 central ministries, the ESTIC 2025 endeavor is designed to meld diverse sector efforts to expedite deep-tech innovation, catalyze start-ups, and affirm India’s preemption in global scientific leadership for ensuing eras.

In the poignant assembly, contributions came from Science Secretary M. Ganesh Pillai and other distinguished scientists and officials, enveloping an array of insights and resolutions for future endeavors.

The curtain raiser marks an auspicious start to ESTIC 2025, promising a future where India’s dominance in science and technology proliferates, nurturing hope and aspiration for emerging generations.
