Elon Musk's SpaceX Hires 14-Year-Old Software Engineer
SpaceX has hired a 14-year-old software engineer. Kairan Quazi, a prodigious talent, recently completed his bachelor's degree at Santa Clara University, becoming the youngest graduate in the institution's history.
At the age of 11, Quazi transferred to Santa Clara University, focusing on computer science and engineering. His passion for technology and innovation led him to secure internships at esteemed institutions like Intel Labs, where he worked as an artificial-intelligence research fellow, and Blackbird.AI, a cyber-intelligence firm.
Now, Quazi has taken a significant leap in his career by joining the Starlink engineering team at SpaceX. In a LinkedIn post, he expressed his excitement, stating, "I will be joining the coolest company on the planet as a software engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the rare companies that did not use my age as an arbitrary and outdated proxy for maturity and ability."
Quazi's appointment at SpaceX makes him the youngest member of the company's workforce. His role will involve contributing to the development of software for Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet constellation project.
