In a conversation with the head of TED conferences Chris Anderson, Elon Musk speculated on the price of tickets for a flight to Mars from his SpaceX company. According to the billionaire, $100,000 is quite an acceptable price tag for many people.
The billionaire noted that the price would be based on economic feasibility. Some people might even need to sell their assets to visit Mars.
Musk is convinced that humanity must become a multiplanetary species to preserve life. To establish an independent colony on Mars, we must deliver megatons of cargo to the Red Planet every year.
