Chinese scientists have built an artificial Moon research facility that simulates low-gravity conditions. This lunar simulator is essentially a vacuum chamber of 60 centimeters in diameter.
With its help, scientists can test equipment before sending it into space and calculate the characteristics of the future base on the Moon, South China Morning Post reports
The simulator has magnets that create a magnetic field strong enough to lift small objects. Scientists have also recreated a lunar landscape made up of rocks and dust like that on the Moon.
