In a move set to invigorate the Mornington Peninsula, the Allan Labor Government has embarked on an ambitious redevelopment of the beloved Dromana Pier. This iconic attraction known for its fishing, walking, and maritime activities is getting a much-anticipated facelift, aligning with the region’s natural charm and vitality. With a hefty $46 million investment focused on piers and jetties statewide, this project promises a significant uplift for the local environment.

Announced by Minister for Ports and Freight, Melissa Horne, the start of construction marks a pivotal moment for the local populace and the influx of eager tourists. The design, meticulously shaped by community input, retains much of the pier’s original essence while implementing modern enhancements. The new features, including accessible ramps, solid timber decking, and a terrace area, blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, offering an enhanced vista of Port Phillip Bay and Arthurs Seat.
