Hawaii Calls for Community Vision: Shape the Future of Island Tourism!

Imagine your voice playing a pivotal role in defining how tourism evolves on the beautiful islands of Hawaii. The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) is opening doors for its residents with an initiative that could change the face of island tourism forever!

Share Your Mana‘o

HTA is hosting a series of Zoom sessions, inviting residents to express their thoughts, needs, and aspirations concerning tourism on their respective islands. For the first time, the power to mold the region’s future tourism blueprint is in the hands of the people who call Hawaii home.

“These sessions are a chance for residents to share their mana‘o on tourism in a way that reflects the needs, values and priorities of their communities,” stated Caroline Anderson, interim president and CEO of HTA.

Collaborative Plans for a Balanced Future

Contributions gathered from community dialogues will steer the creation of HTA’s Strategic Plan, the state’s Tourism Functional Plan, and each island’s Destination Management Action Plan. The objective is crystal clear: to balance the benefits that tourism brings with its potential impacts on natural resources, cultural heritage, and resident quality of life.

Inclusive and Online

Held virtually from 5 to 6:30 p.m., these meetings ensure broad accessibility. Register by respective deadlines to gain special Zoom access:
