BEIJING — In a historic address, experts from China’s manned space program emphasize the nation’s commitment to creating a robust platform for international cooperation in space exploration.

A Visionary Platform

Li Yingliang, director of the general technology department at the China Manned Space Agency, announced at a State Council Information Office press conference that China’s space station is poised to make groundbreaking discoveries about the origins of life, the universe’s evolution, and the structure of matter.

“This contribution to human space science, technology, and applications is unmatched,” Li stated, shedding light on the significance of China’s space endeavors like the ongoing construction of the space station and manned lunar expeditions.

Amplifying Ground Support

Sun Wei, the deputy chief designer of the landing system, revealed plans for expanding telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) stations alongside new TT&C satellites. These initiatives promise to enrich human space activities. “China’s path towards standardization and internationalization in TT&C is paving the way for seamless global space operations,” Sun proclaimed.

Marking another milestone, astronaut Fei Junlong expressed his sentiments as he reminisced about his experiences in space. “Gazing at Earth, our shared home, fills one with profound unity,” he said. Esteemed for commanding the Shenzhou-6 and Shenzhou-15 missions, Fei invites astronauts worldwide to collaborate with China, reflecting a shared human aspiration to conquer space together.

With nine successful crew missions, the Chinese space station remains at the forefront of international attention. Currently, the Shenzhou-20 mission crew, launched on April 24, 2025, showcases a new era of exploration.
